Haas Drivers Caught Out in Qualifying

Australian Grand Prix – Both Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez were left to wonder what might have been after failing to send a Haas car into the second part of qualifying. The Haas F1 drivers were both unable to beat the countdown timer and finish their qualifying laps, meaning both were eliminated midway through the first part of qualifying, finishing 19th and 20th. Despite finishing the faster of the two drivers, Romain Grosjean in particular had a dramatic session. At the end of the first laps, Grosjean was at the bottom of the timesheets before making minor improvements on the following lap.
