Renault downplay minimal token spending
Although Renault spent the fewest tokens of all four engine manufacturers, Cyril Abiteboul is confident they were spent wisely. Earlier this week the FIA revealed the number of tokens that each of the manufacturers had used over the winter with Ferrari topping the count at 23 of their 32. In sharp contrast Renault were at the very bottom of the list, having used just seven. Renault Sport F1 managing director Abiteboul insists the number does not matter, rather what is important is the improvements made with those tokens.
