Ryan hails Manor rookies
Having put in the laps and kept their cars out of the walls, Dave Ryan says Pascal Wehrlein and Rio Haryanto did 'exactly what was required of them' in Melbourne. The duo made their grand prix debuts on Friday at the Albert Park circuit and had to contend with a wet slippery track. Despite the tricky conditions both drivers covered more than 20 laps and did so while keeping their wheels on the track, for the most part at least. Wehrlein finished FP2 with a best time of 1:43.401 while Haryanto was nine-tenths down on his team-mate.
