Rosberg apologises to Mercedes after FP2 crash

Nico Rosberg has apologised to his Mercedes team after crashing out of second practice for the Australian Grand Prix at the Albert Park Circuit. Both practice sessions took place in tricky, wet conditions. Rosberg was sixth fastest in FP1 but he lost control of his car at Turn 7 early in second practice and hit the wall. The German was forced to sit on the sidelines and watch the remainder of the session, finishing 15th overall. He owned up to the accident and apologised to Mercedes for the extra work to repair his car. 'That wasn't a good start to the weekend for me,' he said after practice.
