Jones: Räikkönen 'a little bit lucky'
– Formula 1 legend Alan Jones believes that Kimi Räikkönen is a "little bit lucky" to be lining up at Ferrari again this year, but nonetheless believes the outfit was correct to retain the Finn for a third season.Räikkönen was overshadowed by team-mates Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel in 2014 and 2015, though Ferrari ultimately kept hold of the 2007 World Champion for a further year, having tentatively explored alternatives.Jones, who won the title in 1980, reckons Ferrari has been shrewd to retain Räikkönen, but reckons the squad must consider Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo for a seat in 2017."I think Kimi's a little bit lucky to be there," he explained...
