Zanardi "never agreed" to Channel 4 involvement

Former Grand Prix driver Alex Zanardi has denied ever agreeing to a role in Channel 4's Formula 1 coverage, just days after he was announced as part of its team. C4 held a media event in London on Tuesday where it named a 12-strong team of presenters and expert analysts, including former grand prix drivers Mark Webber, Alain Prost and Karun Chandhok. It then revealed, prior to playing a video edit of Zanardi's preparations for the Paralympics, that the Italian would be joining it at selected events in 2016.
