Zanardi did not agree to be part of C4 F1 coverage

Alex Zanardi says he has not agreed a deal to be part of Channel 4's comprehensive presenting line-up for its first season of Formula 1 coverage, despite being announced as such. The former F1 driver, who continued racing successfully after losing his legs in a ChampCar accident in Germany in 2001, was named as part of Channel 4's vast presenting team alongside the likes of David Coulthard, Murray Walker, Susie Wolff and Mark Webber. However, having not been included in any of the promotional imagery and with his role not defined at the unveiling, Zanardi – now a Paralympian gold medallist – has taken to Twitter to say he has never had a deal to be involved.
