Magnussen eyes points on Renault debut

– Kevin Magnussen is optimistic that Renault will be able to compete for the points-paying positions when both he and the team return to action in Australia next week.Magnussen claimed a podium on his debut in 2014 but missed out on a race seat in 2015, though competed in Australia in place of Fernando Alonso, before an engine problem halted his car on the reconnaissance lap.Magnussen has now switched to Renault, which is also preparing for its full-time Formula 1 comeback, having taken over the Lotus operation during the winter break."I feel ready for Melbourne," Magnussen said.
