Todt: Senna wanted to race for Ferrari FIA president and Former Ferrari team principal Jean Todt has recently confirmed that Ayrton Senna had expressed interest in driving for Ferrari in 1994. Todt has claimed that a meeting between the two took place, during which they discussed the possibility of the Brazilian leaving McLaren to join the Formula 1 powerhouse. “He [Senna] wanted to come to Ferrari and Ferrari wanted him,” Todt told Auto Bild Motorsport. “I had a long meeting with him in 1993 and I was fascinated by the sound of his voice.
