Hamilton: 'I'm glad I broke the car!'

Lewis Hamilton was pleased to have completed extensive mileage in the Mercedes W07 throughout pre-season testing, even if his final day ended in technical troubles. The reigning world champion was at the wheel Mercedes' 2016 challenger in the morning of the final pre-season test day when the car suffered from a transmission problem on the start/finish straight. He pulled over just after the pit exit and the session was re-flagged. This was the only session-stopping incident caused by Mercedes during the two tests in Barcelona.
