Leclerc, Alesi join Ferrari driver academy

– Ferrari has confirmed that GP3 racers Charles Leclerc and Giuliano Alesi, son of former Formula 1 racer Jean, have joined its young driver academy for the 2016 season.Leclerc finished fourth in his rookie European Formula 3 campaign last year and will now switch to GP3 with Haas, while Alesi competed in French Formula 4 and placed fourth overall.Leclerc and Alesi will now link up with existing members of the Ferrari scheme, Trident GP3 racer Antonio Fuoco and Guan Yu Zhou, who will make his Formula 3 debut in 2016.Ferrari also added that Leclerc is "also on the books with the Haas Formula 1 squad," while Fuoco will act as a development driver for the Maranello outfit.
