Pirelli: 'Not many conclusions reached from first test'

Pirelli motorsport director Paul Hembery says there is not much to be read into the different approaches taken by the teams at the first pre-season test in Barcelona. The four day test saw most of the teams embark on very different programs, with Mercedes choosing to not run any tyre softer than the Medium white marked compound. In contrast, Ferrari & Red Bull chose to try out the new UltraSoft compounds on two separate days, leading to the fastest times of the test in the hands of Sebastian Vettel & Daniel Ricciardo, while Force India's Nico Hulkenberg was also right up there using the SuperSoft compound on Day 3. “There are not too many conclusions you can read into the first test of...
