Perez: VJM09 has ‘big potential'
Sergio Perez heaped praise on Force India's 2016 car following an impressive display on the second day of pre-season testing. The Mexican finished third behind Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo after setting a lap on the super soft compound tyre in the afternoon session. His lap looked even more encouraging when factoring in tyre compounds. Both Vettel and Ricciardo trialled the new, faster ultra soft tyre earlier in the day, but Perez was able to finish within one tenth of a second from Ricciardo despite using the slower tyre.
