Stirling Moss' 1957 Ferrari becomes most expensive car ever sold

A piece of racing history from Sir Stirling Moss has become the most expensive car to have ever sold at auction in France. The 1957 Ferrari 33 Sport Scaglietti was sold at auction for an incredible sum of 32 million euro. This equals 24 million UK pounds or 35 million US dollars, before fees. The car, driven by Sir Stirling Moss to victory in the 1958 Cuban Grand Prix (the race made famous for the pre-race kidnapping of Juan Manuel Fangio), is also famous for breaking the Le Mans 24 hour average speed record in its time, as well as the first to exceed 200kph average speed over the famous circuit.
