Pastor Maldonado issues statement confirming F1 exit

Pastor Maldonado has confirmed that he will not be racing in Formula 1 in 2016. The Venezuelan driver had been under contract to race with the rebranded Lotus Renault team this season, but he has taken to social media to confirm that he will not be taking part in this year's action. This appears to confirm that recent rumours about him being replaced by former McLaren driver Kevin Magnussen are correct.
