Vandoorne brings out red flags for McLaren

McLaren's Stoffel Vandoorne caused the only interruption during the first day of the Pirelli test at Paul Ricard. The special two day test sees Red Bull, Ferrari & McLaren run wet weather tyre testing for Pirelli, with the tyre manufacturer setting out the program for each team. Monday saw Daniel Ricciardo go fastest for Red Bull, with almost 300 laps tallied up between the three teams. The only stoppage during the day was caused by McLaren's Stoffel Vandoorne. The GP2 Champion ground to a halt out on track and caused red flags to be thrown as the MP4/30 was recovered on a tow truck.
