Azerbaijan F1 event confirmed as twilight race

The inaugural Grand Prix of Europe around the streets of the Azerbaijani capital Baku will kick off at 6pm local time (2pm GMT), confirming that it won't clash with the Le Mans 24 Hours. Having originally been scheduled to take place in July, a change to the 2016 F1 calendar would see it brought forward to June 19th, the same weekend as the Le Mans 24 Hours, an event F1 traditionally attempts to avoid and allowed Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg to compete and win last year. To lessen the impact of the clash, the FIA said the start time of the race would be shifted to ensure it didn't clash, but its 6pm start coincides directly with the 3pm CET conclusion of the endurance classic....
