Baku organisers deny F1 race is in doubt
– Azerbaijan's inaugural Formula 1 race on the streets of capital city Baku is not under threat, despite the country's current financial problems, organisers have insisted.Azerbaijan is preparing to join the roster in 2016, with a slot of June 17-19, but the nation has been hit by a drop in oil prices, with its currency, the Manat, severely devalued.But on Thursday, Baku City Circuit chiefs made clear that the event will not be affected, while claiming that, despite a sizeable financial outlay, Azerbaijan will ultimately benefit."The devaluation of the Manat will have no impact with regards to the staging of the first ever Formula 1 race in Azerbaijan," a Baku City Circuit...
