Rivola steps down from Ferrari F1 team

Scuderia Ferrari Massimo Rivola has confirmed that he has stepped down as Ferrari's Sporting Director and will move to front the team's young driver academy. Rivola has held the role since 2009 but will now move to head up the Ferrari Driver Academy, following the departure of Luca Baldisserri. Ferrari is yet to officially confirm the move but a letter from Rivola to the outfit's fans was posted on its social media page. Ferrari's junior scheme is set for tweaks in 2016 after the departure of Raffaele Marciello and Lance Stroll, the latter having taken up a development role at Williams.
