Horner: Hamilton was 'desperate' to join RBR

– Red Bull team boss Christian Horner has revealed that Lewis Hamilton was "desperate" to join the outfit on multiple occasions prior to leaving McLaren for Mercedes at the end of 2012.Hamilton stepped up to Formula 1 with McLaren in 2007 and, after narrowly missing out on the championship at the first attempt, stormed to his maiden title during the 2008 campaign.Hamilton was unable to add to the crown over the following four years, however, and opted to switch to Mercedes in the latter part of a 2012 season plagued by reliability issues.Horner says that ahead of his move to Mercedes, which had won just one race in three seasons since taking over Brawn GP, Hamilton tried to...
