New Sauber will not be ready for first F1 test

Sauber's new car will not be ready until the second pre-season test at Barcelona in March, the team confirmed on Monday. The Hinwil-based outfit has come off the back of a more encouraging 2015 campaign, where it returned to form following its disastrous point-less season in 2014, but will not have its new car at the first test next month. A late change to the 2016 testing schedule – brought about by the Australia Grand Prix coming forward as part of a calendar change requested by Bernie Ecclestone in September – has impacted on the team's pre-season plans.
