F1 to be '20-25%' louder in 2016 – Symonds

Williams technical chief Pat Symonds is predicting up to '20-25%' increase in noise from this year's Formula One cars. The 2016 season is set to have an increase in volume, owing to new exhaust rules brought in for the coming season, according to Symonds. Fans of the sport have been vocal about the subject of noise at Grands Prix, with many feeling that the current generation of turbocharged V6 engines aren't loud enough, especially when compared to the previously used V8 engines.
