Channel 4 signs Coulthard to F1 team

– David Coulthard has been named as the first member of Channel 4's presentation team for its Formula 1 coverage in 2016, moving over from the BBC, which ended its contract early.Channel 4 announced last month that it is to serve as the new terrestrial home of Formula 1 in the UK from 2016-18, broadcasting 10 Grands Prix live, along with highlights of all 21 rounds.Channel 4 has now awarded the production contract for its coverage to independent sports production company Whisper Films, which was set up in 2010 by former BBC Sport Formula 1 producer Sunil Patel, former BBC Formula 1 presenter Jake Humphrey and Coulthard, who joins the on-screen team.Channel 4 took a minority stake in...
