Analysis: Why F1 doesn't have doping scandals
While other sports have become mired in doping scandals, Formula 1 has been drug-free territory for most of its history. Kate Walker explains why. While doping in sport is serious business, every once in a while the stories verge on the ridiculous. For every competitive cyclist undergoing a full blood transfusion in their hotel room (perhaps not every, as there were quite a few…), a club-level racing driver will face a ban for that well-known performance enhancing drug, marijuana.
