Haas confirms chassis has passed mandatory crash tests

The Haas F1 Team received a major boost on Friday after revealing that its first chassis has completed and passed the mandatory FIA crash tests. The American-led team took to Twitter to confirm the good news, which now means the team has been given the green-light to take part in the opening pre-season test next month. "Passed @FIA crash test. Next up: testing @Circuitcat_eng," was the message posted on Friday. It is now a requirement that all crash tests are passed before a car is allowed to turn a wheel during testing, therefore it is essential they are passed with plenty of time to make last-minute adjustment if required.
