Verstappen pairing a boost for Sainz - Alonso

 XPB Images Fernando Alonso thinks that partnering Toro Rosso rookie sensation Max Verstappen has boosted Carlos Sainz’ credentials. The younger Spaniard graduated to Formula One in the wake of his 2014 Formula Renault 3.5 title, and was pitted against the much-hyped Verstappen. Although Sainz eventually trailed the Dutch prodigy by 31 points, his maiden F1 campaign remains favourably considered, which is a testament to his raw speed but also to the sort of competition he was facing.
