Renault finalises takeover of Lotus

Lotus F1 Team Renault has finalised its purchase of the Lotus Formula 1 team ahead of its full-scale return as a works outfit next season. Renault signed a letter of intent to buy the squad in September and formally confirmed its intentions at the start of December, though still had to complete the final stages. A lawyer for Renault confirmed to the High Court on Monday that all debts owed to the British tax authorities were completed and that the team has now been handed over. "We have a completion of the share purchase," Renault's lawyer is quoted by Reuters. "We have the keys, so to speak." Renault will reveal further plans regarding its full-scale Formula 1 comeback...
