Former Marussia cars up for auction
– Four cars formerly belonging to the Marussia Formula 1 outfit have been put up for auction by a private collector.Amid a turbulent winter period last year, several of the team's assets were sold, including four of its cars, the VR01 and MVR02, from its nascent days as Virgin, and the MR01 and MR02, used once Marussia took over the team.The cars were used between 2010 and 2013 and John Pye auctions says that the machines, which are available to view at the company's Mayfair facility, all have Formula 1 provenance.None of the cars scored a championship point, with the MR03 – the outfit's 2014 entry – the only machine to have finished a race in the top 10.The squad was revived at...
