Haas planning to launch car in February

The Haas F1 Team is planning to launch its first ever Formula 1 car one day prior to the opening 2016 pre-season test in Barcelona. The American outfit, led by owner Gene Haas, will join the F1 grid next year, making its racing debut at the Australian Grand Prix on the 20 March. Preparations are in full swing at the team's bases in Banbury and Kannapolis, North Carolina, with three months to go before lights out in Melbourne. Speaking to Sky Sports, team principal Günther Steiner said Haas F1 is on schedule to complete crash tests at the start of January, adding the car will hopefully be launched on February 21, one day prior to the start of pre-season testing.
