Pirelli announces tyre nominations for Bahrain and China
F1's tyre supplier Pirelli has confirmed the compound nominations for the second and third rounds of the 2016 season. Having announced its selection for the first race of 2016 in Australia earlier this month, Pirelli has now revealed the choices for Bahrain and China. Each driver has 13 sets available per race weekend but Pirelli will choose two sets for the race (one of which must be used) as well as a set of the softest nominated compound. This tyre should only be used in Q3. Drivers can select any combination of compounds from those nominated for the remaining 10 sets.
