A shower of sparks

This is what happened when Riccardo Patrese’s Alfa Romeo and Nelson Piquet’s Brabham-BMW tangled during the 1985 Monaco Grand Prix, with the pair sent adrift but sending sparks flying. Both drivers were hardly pleased to retire on Lap 16 of the year's most iconic race, but we’ll give them an ‘A’ for their artistic mark.
