Pirelli announces Australian GP tyre choices

– Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has chosen its Super Soft, Soft and Medium compounds for next year's season-opening race, the Australian Grand Prix, leaving out the new Ultra Soft rubber.For the 2016 season, in a bid to open up strategy, Pirelli will nominate three dry weather compounds for each event, from its Ultra Soft, Super Soft, Soft, Medium and Hard rubber.Out of the 13 sets available to each driver, Pirelli will choose two sets for the race (only one of which must be used), along with a set of the softest nominated compound, only for use in Q3.Drivers are free to select any combination of compounds for the other 10 sets."Competitors must inform the FIA, no less than...
