Alonso samples Honda MotoGP machinery

©Fernando Alonso/Instagram Fernando Alonso took the opportunity of this weekend’s Honda Thanks Day to test the Japanese manufacturer’s RC213V machine that fellow two-time world champion Marc Marquez rides in MotoGP. The event gathered Honda-powered pilots from around the world, with Indycar racer Takuma Sato, McLaren development driver Oliver Turvey, and Marquez’ team-mate Dani Pedrosa also in attendance at Motegi. After testing Ayrton Senna’s MP4/4 earlier that year, Alonso  was also given the opportunity to drive the MP4/6 that took the Brazilian legend to his third and final Formula One world title in 1991.
