Verstappen wins three awards at FIA gala

Toro Rosso's Max Verstappen walked away from the FIA prize giving gala in Paris on Friday night with three awards. The Dutchman enjoyed a spectacular rookie season in F1, ending the year 12th in the drivers' standings with 49 points. He became the youngest F1 driver in the sport's history when he made his debut in Australia at the age of 17. He went on to score two fourth place finishes and eight further top 10 results. Verstappen was voted ‘Rookie of the Year' by fellow drivers and also picked up ‘Personality of the Year', having been chosen by members of the media.
