Toro Rosso gets 2015-spec Ferrari engine

– Toro Rosso will use 2015-specification Ferrari power units in 2016, the squad has formally confirmed, restarting an engine partnership which previously ran from 2007-2013.Toro Rosso has been supplied by Renault for the past two seasons, but the fallout between the senior Red Bull team and the French manufacturer left its future plans clouded.Renault's announcement that it will take over Lotus, and Red Bull's confirmation of an engine branding deal with TAG Heuer, has now cleared Toro Rosso to officially reveal its plans.Helmut Marko had already confirmed the Toro Rosso/Ferrari deal.Toro Rosso will take Ferrari's 2015-spec engine, while fellow supplied teams Sauber and Haas – the...
