Toro Rosso confirms Ferrari engine deal

The Toro Rosso team confirmed on Friday it will use year-old Ferrari engines during the 2016 Formula 1 season. The move had been expected for some time, but it was only earlier this week that FIA approved a rule change that allows the Italian squad to return to Ferrari power units. Manufacturers were unable to run two types of engines before the FIA rule change this week. Toro Rosso will use year-old Ferrari engines next season, while sister team Red Bull will stay with Renault power units but badged TAG Heuer, as revealed earlier on Friday.
