Silverstone coy on Jaguar Land Rover bid

Silverstone said on Thursday it had received no formal offer from Indian-owned luxury carmaker Jaguar Land Rover amid media reports of a planned bid for the British Grand Prix circuit. The British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC) that owns the central English track and surrounding land said in a statement that it received a number of confidential approaches and considered them on their merits. "Should an attractive offer be received from any party, the BRDC Board would seek a mandate from Club members before progressing it," it added.
