Ecclestone, Todt given mandate by WMSC

Formula One CEO Bernie Ecclestone and FIA president Jean Todt have scored a big political victory after receiving a mandate by the World Motor Sport Council to invoke change in the sport. Ecclestone and Today recently have found themselves embroiled in a power struggle against the major manufacturers in F1, with their plan for an alternative engine solution for 2017 being shot down last month. However, following the latest meeting of the WMSC this week, both Ecclestone and Todt have now been commission to make changes as they see fit to help improve F1.
