Wolff: 'We gave Lewis all the options'
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has suggested that Lewis Hamilton had the choice of tyre for his final stint during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In his efforts to overtake race leader Nico Rosberg, Hamilton extended his second stint on the soft compound tyre, eventually pitting ten laps later than Rosberg's pit stop. This lead many to suggest that Hamilton could switch to a set of the super soft tyres to try and catch Rosberg towards the end of the race, something which was discussed between Hamilton and his race engineer. However, the decision was made for Hamilton to use a set of the yellow-walled soft tyres. The fresher rubber mean't the 2015 world champion...
