Magnussen to test DTM for Mercedes

Former Formula 1 driver Kevin Magnussen is lining up another option to keep his motor racing career alive. The Dane, ousted by McLaren, recently tested Porsche's Le Mans-winning sports car prototype. And now, the Danish tabloid Ekstra Bladet is reporting that Magnussen will test a Mercedes DTM car at Jerez next week. 'It is true that I am going there to test. It will probably be on the third day,' he confirmed. 'It will be a great experience and I appreciate the opportunity.' The new DTM champion, driving for Mercedes, is Pascal Wehrlein, who is now tipped to step up to F1 next year with Manor. Magnussen said: 'They (Mercedes) will evaluate the drivers and maybe find one for next season....
