Sergio Perez: “A good start to our race weekend”

Sergio Perez reflected on a positive day in Abu Dhabi despite seeing his evening session curtailed by a brake issue that cost him some valuable track time. The Sahara Force India driver had already done enough to set the third fastest time, behind only the two Mercedes drivers, having earlier finished eighth in the first session. Having tested some parts aimed for the 2016 season in opening practice, Perez ran some quick times during the second session under the Yas Marina lights, and hopes to utilise some of team-mate Nico Hulkenberg’s data with regards to long runs, having seen his own long run cut short by his braking problem.
