Rosberg edges Hamilton in Abu Dhabi GP second practice
Mercedes racer Nico Rosberg topped a busy second practice for the 2015 Formula 1 season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Rosberg trailed his team-mate Lewis Hamilton following the early runs on the soft tyre, but clocked a 1m42.899s during the qualifying simulations on the supersoft rubber to edge out the champion elect by 0.138s. Sergio Perez lapped a surprise third fastest for Force India, half a second shy of Rosberg’s pace-setting Mercedes, before his session was cut short by a rear brake failure.
