Lance Stroll lands Williams development role

Williams Martini Racing has announced Lance Stroll will join its driver development programme for the 2016 Formula 1 season. Fresh from an eye-catching maiden season in the European Formula 3 Championship, which yielded a win at Hockenheim en route to fifth in the overall standings, Canadian teenager Stroll will take on a role considered similar to that of Valtteri Bottas' when he joined the team in 2010. With Bottas going on to progress to a full-time race drive in 2013 and emerge as a front runner in 2014 and 2015, 17 year-old Stroll is thrilled with the opportunity to be collaborating with the multiple F1 title-winning team. “I'm really honoured to be part of such a great team...
