Lotus says Renault deal 'pretty much there'

– Lotus Chairman and Team Principal Gérard Lopez says that the outfit is edging ever closer to signing a takeover agreement with French manufacturer Renault.Although Renault signed a letter of intent with Lotus to acquire a majority stake in the Enstone-based team in September, a full deal has not yet been formally penned.Lopez, speaking at the Race of Champions in London, made clear that the fundamentals between Lotus and Renault have been agreed, with only minor details remaining."I think we're pretty much there with Renault," Lopez told Sky Sports."I understand that Renault still has some things which they need to clear with Formula 1 and FOM, but as far as we're...
