Wehrlein ready ‘for the next step'
Pascal Wehrlein says there is a '50-50' chance that he will be on the Formula 1 grid next season. The Mercedes reserve driver, who made history this year as the youngest driver to win the DTM series title, is keen to step up to F1. He has been linked to a seat with the Manor team who will be swapping their Ferrari engines for Mercedes power for 2016. However if that does not happen he says defending his DMT would not be too bad. Asked if he would be the fourth German on next year's F1 grid, he told Die Welt: 'I hope so. 'My clear goal is to one day drive in F1. At the moment my chances are probably 50-50. 'It may happen that I have another year in DTM. That would not be bad, DTM is a lot...
