Wolff: Mercedes, not drivers, decides strategy

Mercedes AMG Petronas Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has dismissed suggestions that Lewis Hamilton should have been allowed to try a different strategy during the Brazilian Grand Prix in a bid to pass team-mate Nico Rosberg. Hamilton trailed Rosberg throughout the race and requested an alternative approach, though Mercedes kept to its strategy of stopping three times. "We have our strategists - and if the drivers in the car start to make their own [decisions] they would lose every single race," Wolff is quoted by the official F1 website.
