Felipe Massa disqualified from home race

Brazilian Grand Prix – Williams' Felipe Massa has been excluded from the Brazilian race results, after a post race investigation into his starting tyres found them to breach the regulations. Massa finished his home race in P8, but was summoned before the stewards afterwards due to his right rear tyre being too hot at the start of the race. The Technical Delegate, Jo Bauer, referred the Brazilian driver to the stewards after a pre-race investigation found that ‘the tread of the right hand side rear tyre of Car Number 19 was 137°C, 27 °C above the maximum tread temperature of 110 °C allowed by the official tyre supplier.
