Ricciardo: New Renault engine not worth it

Red Bull/Getty Images Daniel Ricciardo says it was not worth him using Renault's new power unit during the Brazilian Grand Prix, as he qualified in ninth position. Ricciardo fitted Renault's upgraded unit to his RB11 but qualified two positions behind team-mate Daniil Kvyat and was unimpressed by the developments. "No," he said when asked if the engine had delivered an improvement. "We had to try it and we do need some data on it but I’ll have a look at the overlay with Dani later but no it wasn’t worth it."
