Rosberg beats Hamilton to Brazilian GP pole

Nico Rosberg beat Mercedes Formula 1 team-mate Lewis Hamilton to take pole for the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos. Rosberg took the early advantage in the final shootout, clocking a 1m11.461s to go fastest with his initial run, 0.088s faster than Hamilton, who locked-up into Turn 10. The German ventured out for a second run, and improved with his final flier, lowering the benchmark to a 1m11.282s to claim his fifth consecutive pole. Hamilton was forced to settle for second, 0.078s shy of his team-mate – completing the 14th all-Mercedes front-row of the season.
