Giedo van der Garde signed with Pirelli as a test driver Former Formula 1 driver Giedo van der Garde has signed with Pirelli as a test driver. The 30-year-old raced for Caterham in 2013, but is arguably now best remembered for taking Sauber to court early this season. Van der Garde did some testing with F1's official tyre supplier at the wheel of a GP2 car recently, and he has now signed up for a proper Pirelli development role. 'It's a good job that allows me to do many kilometres,' the Dutchman is quoted by De Telegraaf newspaper.
